Reverse: the centre of the coin depicts a red kangaroo, the largest of all kangaroos, surrounded by sunlight. The name of the coin is "AUSTRALIAN KANGAROO" also the year, weight and name "2022 1 oz. 9999 SILVER" appear on the underside of the coin. The coin is unique in its engraving, in the letter "K" of the word "KANGAROO", engravings serve as an authentication feature, visible only through a microscope or a very strong magnifying glass.
Obverse: the obverse of the coin features a new design depiction of Queen Elizabeth II (Australia has a constitutional monarchy whereby Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II is also Queen of Australia).
