Meteorites are celestial bodies that have fallen to the Earth's surface. All the meteorites sold in the Florinus range were found and collected in the Western Sahara region by local Berber nomads. According to the locals, they saw some of the meteorites fall with their own eyes. As a result, many of these extraterrestrial rocks are still covered with the dark burning crust, unburied by the desert winds, which were formed when the meteorite dissected the planet's atmosphere.
Meteorites are classified according to their mineral composition as stony (chondrites, achondrites), ferruginous (palasites, mesosiderites) and iron. The meteorites sold in the Florinus range are of the type of stony meteorites. Most of them are chondrites. They are so called because of their chondrules, spherical silicate formations.
Chondrites are thought to have formed in a planetary nebula close to the Sun through condensation and accretion.
