Obverse: the obverse of the coin depicts the map of the Slovak Republic as part of a modern, stylized arc, which symbolizes the European Union and the introduction of the euro currency. At the bottom of the arches there are minted letters of the MK which are a sign of the Mint of the Slovak Mint (Mincovňa Kremnica), next is letters PK which is a sign of the coin designer Pavel Károly. At the bottom, on the right, an anniversary date of 1.1.1993 and 2018. On the left of the coin is the coat of arms of the Slovak Republic and the national name "SLOVENSKÁ REPUBLIKA".
Reverse: regular 2€ denomination number.
About the coin: the coin is dedicated to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the Independence of the Slovak Republic.
