Obverse: the obverse of the €2 coin features a map of Croatia and the words of freedom from Ivan Gundulić's famous work "Dubravka". The 1 euro coin features a pig on a chessboard background. The obverse of the 50, 20 and 10-cent coins depicts Nikola Tesla. The 5, 2 and 1-cent coins bear the image of the Glagolitic alphabet.
Reverse: the usual euro denomination numerals.
About the set: This is the 1st set of BU-quality Croatian euro coins. This set consists of eight euro coins ranging from 1 cent to €2. Since its accession to the European Union in 2013, Croatia has been considering adopting the euro. Finally, on 1 June 2022, the European Commission approved Croatia's accession to the euro area, confirmed at the EU summit in Brussels on 24 June 2022. The new currency will enter into force on 1 January 2023. This time, the theme of the coin set is the Croatian city of Dubrovnik.
