The redesigned San Marino BU (Brilliant Uncirculated) euro coin set is dedicated to World Ocean Day. This set consists of 9 euro coins from 1 cent to 5 euros. From 1 cent to 2 euros, there are regular BU-quality euro coins, and the 5-euro silver coin is a commemorative one dedicated to World Ocean Day.
The obverse of the commemorative 5-euro silver coin depicts three wave-lit beacons symbolizing the Republic of San Marino, with the national name "REPUBLICA DI SAN MARINO" engraved above them. The reverse of the coin depicts an inhabitant of the oceans, a dolphin, and depicts rubbish, symbolizing ocean pollution. The words "GIORNATA MONDIALE DEGLI OCEANI", the year of mintage "2020" and the denomination "5 EURO" are engraved slightly below the letter "R", which is the mark of the Roman Mint, on the left-hand side of the reverse. The initials of the coin are engraved on the right-hand side of the coin.
