Obverse: The obverse features the coat of arms of the Russian Soviet Federative Socialist Republic – the hammer and sickle with rays, surrounded by a wreath tied with a ribbon at the bottom. Around it is the inscription ПРОЛЕТАРИИ ВСЕХ СТРАН, СОЕДИНЯЙТЕСЬ! (Workers of the world, unite!) and Р.С.Ф.С.Р. (RSFSR).
Reverse: In the center of the coin, the number 50 is set within a five-pointed star, surrounded by a beaded circle. At the top is the inscription 50 КОПЕЕК, and at the bottom the year of issue 1922.
About the coin: The 1922 50 kopecks silver coin was struck from 90% silver, weighs 10 g, and has a diameter of 26.67 mm. It belongs to the monetary issue of the Russian Soviet Federative Socialist Republic, released after the revolution and before the official founding of the Soviet Union in December 1922. The coin has a reeded edge. Silver rubles and their subdivisions were minted until 1924, after which they were replaced by other alloys. This particular specimen is graded NGC MS 61, reflecting a relatively high preservation state.
