Obverse: the obverse of the coin depicts the coat of arms of the Republic of Lithuania - Vytis in the background of historical victories and unceasing renewal flames. The name of the state is LIETUVA (Lithuania) minted at the top of the coin, and the year and the denomination at the bottom of the coin are 100 LITŲ 2008.
Reverse: the coin reflects the map of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania, and lists the most important events and phenomena in the country. The words "LIETUVOS DIDŽIOJI KUNIGAIKŠTYSTĖ" (eng. Grand duke of Lithuania) are surrounded, and the crown of the Grand Duke of the Grand Duchy is shown at the top of the coin.

About the coin: the second coin series is intended to commemorate the 1000th anniversary of the name of Lithuania.
