Obverse: the obverse of the €2 coin features a map of Croatia and the words of freedom from Ivan Gundulić's famous work "Dubravka". The 1 euro coin features a pig on a chessboard background. The obverse of the 50, 20, and 10-cent coins depicts Nikola Tesla. The 5, 2, and 1-cent coins bear the image of the Glagolitic alphabet.
Reverse: the usual euro denomination numerals.
About the set: This is the 1st starter pack of Croatian euro coins. This Euro Coin Starter Pack consists of 33 euro coins ranging from 1 cent to €2. Since joining the European Union in 2013, Croatia has been considering the possibility of adopting the euro. Finally, on 1 June 2022, the European Commission approved Croatia's accession to the euro area, which was confirmed at the EU summit in Brussels on 24 June 2022. The new currency will enter into force on 1 January 2023.
