Obverse: the obverse of the coin features a portrait of Queen Elizabeth II with the inscription 'ELIZABETH II D G REG F D' and the denomination '5 POUNDS' around it.
Reverse: the reverse of the coin features an image of the Queen's beast, the Yale of Beaufort, based on the original at Hampton Court. The name and weight of the coin, 'YALE OF BEAUFORT 10 OZ', are engraved around the reverse. On the reverse side, the purity, fineness and year of silver are engraved 'FINE SILVER .999.9 2023'. The initials of the designer Jody Clark appear at the bottom.
