Reverse: Imperial coat of arms – crowned eagle with a shield on its chest. Around the design is the inscription: DEUTSCHES REICH, and below it the denomination ZWEI MARK and the year of minting.
About the coin: The coin was minted between 1876 and 1884 in the Kingdom of Prussia under the reign of William I. Made of 90% silver (Ag 900), weight – 11.111 g. Pure silver content – 9.999 g. Diameter – 28 mm, thickness – 2.5 mm. Edge is milled. Minted in Berlin (A), Hanover (B), and Frankfurt am Main (C). Withdrawn from circulation on January 1, 1918.
