She is shown wearing a flowing white gown and a floral garland, with the Berkanan rune adorning her neckline – representing vitality, renewal, and feminine beauty. Beside her stand a deer and a hare, symbols of fertility and rebirth. According to legend, Ostara transformed an injured bird she found in the snow into a hare to help it survive the cold.
Reverse: Features the double-headed eagle, the hallmark of Germania Mint, merged with a deer, Ostara’s sacred animal. At the center lies a shield displaying the year, purity, and denomination – 5 marks – surrounded by Germanic runes.
