Obverse: the obverse of the coin features portraits of pilot brothers Orvil and Wilbury Wright. They performed the first controlled motorized flight over the town of Kitty Hawk on 1903. At the top of the reverse is the inscription "LIBERTY" and below it the word "IN GOD WE TRUST". And at the bottom of the obverse the names of the brothers “Orville & Wilbur Wright.” The design was created by T. James Ferrell.
Reverse: the reverse of the coin depicts a fraternal plane flying over the dunes. The word "ONE DOLLAR" appears at the top, at the bottom we can see inscription "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA" and "E Pluribus Unum" (eng. One of many) at the bottom. The reverse was created by Norman E. Nemet.
About the coin: a silver one-dollar coin issued to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the first flight of the Wright brothers in history. It took many years of testing to achieve this feat, which lasted a very short time. But those short durations were enough for them to be included in the story.
