Around the edge is the inscription “Games of the XXII Olympiad Moscow 1980”, while the year “1979” is shown at the bottom.
Reverse: the reverse features the coat of arms of the USSR – a hammer and sickle over a globe, surrounded by wheat sheaves and topped with a five-pointed star. At the bottom is the denomination “5 rubles”, while the letters “CCCP” are displayed on the sides.
