Obverse: impressed by Helvetia - a female Swiss personification which is in this coin with a tiara in which are minted the word "LIBERTAS". The word "CONFEDERATIO" is on the left side of the coin, and on the right side is minted the word "HELVETICA", which in Latin it means the name of the state - Switzerland.
Reverse: the Swiss coat of arms is depicted, with the symbol "20 FR" on both sides and the twigs of oak and laurel crowns. The star is depicted above the coat, and at the bottom of the coin is the year of the coin.
