Region of origin: Romania
Total bayonet length: 33 cm
Blade length: 20 cm
In 1959, Romania began producing the 6x3 model bayonet designed for the AKM assault rifle. Historically, this bayonet was used by the Romanian army and exported to other countries along with AKM rifles. Its design was inspired by Soviet AKM bayonets. It differs from the Soviet model by having a wider handle and a different sling design, as well as variations in the markings and colors of plastic and rubber components. Romanian-made bayonets can vary in the color of plastic parts, the shape, and the color of the insulating pad. This bayonet also features a saw-back blade.
