At the top, the Greek inscription 100 ΧΡΟΝΙΑ ΑΠΟ ΤΗ ΓΕΝΝΗΣΗ ΤΟΥ ΜΙΚΗ ΘΕΟΔΩΡΑΚΗ means 100 years since the birth of Mikis Theodorakis. At the bottom are the year 2025 and the inscription ΕΛΛΗΝΙΚΗ ΔΗΜΟΚΡΑΤΙΑ (Hellenic Republic).
Reverse: The reverse features the standard design common to all 2-euro coins: a geographical map of Western Europe placed on the right side, covering both the inner and outer parts.
