Obverse: center of the coin depicts prehistoric Ggantija Temple in Malta. Coins in the upper part minted words Ggantija TEMPLE 3600 - 3200 BC, lower part of the coin mintage year and the name of the state MALTA 2016.
Reverse: regular 2€ denomination number.
About the coin: BU coin in numismatic card, these coins are superimposed coin engraver and the mint mark. This is the first of the 7-coin coin series for Malta prehistoric sites. The Ggantija Temples complex in Gozo is one of the best preserved on the Maltese islands. The site dates to 3600 - 3200 B.C. and is one of the oldest free-standing monuments in the world. Ggantija was listed by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site in 1980.
