Obverse: the coin depicts Lady Liberty Head on which are minted the word "LIBERTY" and the thirteen stars that symbolize the thirteen first states. At the bottom of the coin is minted years.
Reverse: the reverse depicts the US symbol of proud and powerful, wide spreading wings white Eagle, which holds arrows and olive branches in its nails, and the shield on the eagle's chest is a symbol of virtue and independence. The sides of the Eagle are decorated with decorated strips bearing the words "E PLURIBUS UNUM" (the only one from many). Above the Eagle's head among the thirteen stars, which also symbolizes the thirteen first states, and there is minted the words "IN GOD WE TRUST". For the whole eagle is minted name of the state "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA", and the denomination "TWENTY DOLLARS" is at the bottom of the coin.
