Legend of the White Snake: After a thousand years of Taoist teachings, the white snake Bai Suzhen gained the ability to transform into a woman. Seeking to repay the brave Xu Xian, who saved her in a previous life, she began to search for him. Their meeting blossomed into love, culminating in marriage. Unfortunately, their happiness was short-lived, as the monk Fahai revealed Bai Suzhen's true identity. Fahai tricked Xu Xian into discovering his wife's true nature, and he died from shock. In despair, Bai Suzhen stole the herb of immortality from heaven and revived her husband. Fahai, relentless in his pursuit, captured Bai Suzhen and imprisoned her in a fortress, where she gave birth to a son. Over the years, her son grew up and managed to free his mother. The happy family was reunited.
