Obverse: the center depicts the coat of arms of Pope Francis I with a shield and a glowing and glowing sun at the top, with the letters IHS and three nails. At the bottom of the coat of arms is a star and a backgammon flower (a tribute to the Blessed Virgin Mary and St. Joseph).
Reverse: the reverse of the coin depicts Pope Clement XI. Pictured below are two winged children holding the coat of arms of the noble Albanian family, depicting an octagonal star and a mountain of three peaks.
About the coin: the € 50 gold coin commemorates the third centenary of Pope Clement XI's death. Giovanni Francesco Albani was born in Urbino in 1649 and died in 1721. He was elected pope in 1700 at the age of 51. The pope was known as an admirer of art, so he devoted himself primarily to the cultural politics from which the cities of Urbino and Rome benefited greatly.
